Bouchard Reaches Milestone In Oilers Win Over Flames

Evan Bouchard Becomes Third-Fastest Defenseman to Reach 50 Career Playoff Points

Bouchard Reaches Milestone in Oilers' Win Over Flames

Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard has become the third-fastest defenseman in NHL history to reach 50 career playoff points.

Bouchard achieved the milestone in the Oilers' 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames in Game 3 of their second-round series on Wednesday night. He assisted on Connor McDavid's goal at 17:54 of the second period, giving him 50 points in just 57 career playoff games.

Only two other defensemen have reached 50 career playoff points faster than Bouchard: Bobby Orr (49 games) and Paul Coffey (54 games).

Bouchard has been a key contributor to the Oilers' success this postseason, leading all defensemen in scoring with 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) in 10 games. He has also been a key part of the Oilers' penalty kill, which has been one of the best in the playoffs.

The Oilers are now one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals. They will host the Flames in Game 4 on Friday night.
